I wanted to say thank you for making the video. And oh jeepers everyone is right by saying 'thanks and you nailed it.' Yup. Nice job on the ribbon also, I had a custom flag made that flys outside on our home showing support. I had my injury in 2015. And yes still, adjusting, 'recovering' isn't really what we do, it's constant adjusting. And like a lot of others said, waking up in the morning and trying to check our mental 'chest sheet' to remember what we have to stand 'guard for' or prepare for. Just like trying to roll with "You look fine", i got that about a month ago from a friend of a family member who is a nurse. 🤦‍♂🤔 'Yeah I look pretty normal, accept for the giant scar on my skull, and if you look one side of my face is shaped just a bit odd, from all the swelling and the graphite clips holding my skull together....' Jeepers, did you skip the beside manners getting your degree? Thanks so much for this piece!!!!!! And to all my fellow TBI peoples....🙌🙌 We survived!!!! ! Buenos tardes, Cristabelle. I have had 2 traumatic brain injuries, Memorial Day 2015, and March 15,2017. Both times , I had to serve sentences at the " Encompass Health " 3131 Troup HWY and the Neurorestorative Tyler when they were renting the 6th floor of the UT Health building Tyler .Last year ,they purchased property on Oak Hill BLVD. so they no longer have to rent the 6th floor of the UT Health building Tyler. There is actually is an " Encompass Health " 2800 W. 15th, Plano, TX 75075 which would would be the DART 236 W. 15th and Neurorestorative 2301 W. Campbell Rd. , Garland, TX 75044 which would be the DART 247 Jupiter. After serving 3 sentences in Tyler ( which is 110 miles from Dallas, so its a 2 day trip by bike via Lake Tawakoni, I should not ! have to serve any more sentences in Smith county ! ) David S.

Omg thank you so much for this video series! I was discharged and ICU with the TBI was zero education, therapy or follow up appointment with neurologist. This is the only information I have received on how to save my eyes as I hit my occipital love!!

My speech used to be so much worse and I’ve recovered a lot and sound so much better but I still have problems but I’m not as bad as it used to be, fuck them😂

Thanks. Just had emergency brain surgery in early May....this video helps me understand my situation better. I know if I always rest I may as well be dead. If I move when I'm tired I'm feeling less sleepy. Still I have to kick back around mid day for an hour, or so....I know it would have been easier to die, but now want to fight to live a better life than before when I was on pain killers for years. No more of that, no nicotine so I've got a new life. Just have to stay awake to appreciate how lucky I am. Guess I almost didn't make it.

Yep. I saw a friend today who said those exact words and I know they meant well cause my TBi is new but I was like “well the wrapping paper looks good but what’s inside the box is only partially assembled”. It’s a soul crushing, every day is a new “WTF, who is in charge of my body??” Moment and I am just along for the ride. Thank you.

Whn my head started to hurt i srt to feel fatigued it feels like some one took pliyer to the back of my head then squeezing it with pressure my upper lip start to roll up then its kike i cannto even recognize my self in the mirror then it goes away it happen whn instand up sit dowm run any type of movement plz plz plz i do notnhabebany insurance and need help thos happen to me when i was 2 or 3 years old after my injury 🤕 i need help this myhelp slove the clues

I don’t have a brain injury but I do have cochlear damage in my ears(vestibular migraines) which make me feel everything you just said. Dizziness that’s incapacitating, being hearing impaired to point struggling in social settings etc. today I had a vertigo attack badly and I haven’t had a big one for a few weeks which was longest time since I felt fine. To just feel like I’m back to square one.

I got jumped 23 years ago now i cant take the side effects like everyone says its hard to talk straight, i never got medical help and its getting much worse at 43 yrs old. Im out of hope, my dr wont give me klonopin which i had been on since 11 years old. Went from 6 mg a day to 1, i need a new dr. I never abused my prescription ever , any advice is appreciated, im tierd and need any break i can get, need job and medication, thats probably it, 1 mg is too small, i cant stop 1000 miles an hour thinking in circles. i got severe migraines sometimes, and i forget words sometimes, i mixed languages, and i forgot one of the languages, i feel very sleepy, i sometimes i cant sleep. I cant write essays anymore.

People with all types of injuries could walk by the perfectly tuned piano and be healed of all sorts of illnesses by sliding a hand up and down the keys from C1 to C4 and back down; like hearing the healing voice oce of Christ?

Is there a perfect frequency of a piano can be tuned to that can heal a human mind and body by sliding a finger up and down the keys aligning the human dna with the perfect frequencies and vibrations?

❤❤❤❤ My TBI happened in a senseless act of violence in 2003. My life was forever changed and oddly I’m thankful as it made me a different person and I appreciate life even more than I did before. I forgave those who caused this and my life changed for the better. This song is so good and there are so many warriors out there that I hope hear this. ❤️❤️❤️

"I don't remember" and "I forgot" feel like the biggest cop outs for me. They are 100% true and accurate but I can't even guess how many times I utter those words in a day. I compose emails and texts and forget to send them which, again, sounds like a dumb excuse. I honestly don't know why I don't hit the "send" button, I just didn't even though I wanted to and often believe that I did. I regularly go to dinner with old friends from high school and I hate it. It's over stimulating and exhausting because I do care and want to participate but I can't seem to filter all of the conversations happening at once. Additionally, they tell stories that I was a part of that I have absolutely no memory of. I can't tell if they're messing with me (not out of malice, it's just what we do with each other) or if they're true. Sometimes I think "that sounds like something I might have said/done" and other times it is completely unbelievable. I miss me.

I wanna say this is the best video I’ve seen that explains what having a brain injury is actually like. I currently have a brain injury that I got a little over 3 years ago from a serious, near fatal car accident on the highway, so what she says about what it’s like to actually have a brain injury and the fact that it’s a silent injury, because it’s not visible, everything with you looks fine but it’s really not, your brain is on a roller coaster.

After failing ( badly ) to be able to con me into believing that she was going to call the Plano police on me last year, a certain 85 year old blasheming ! malice border ( originally from the red light district of Dallas , 3016 Kinkeade ,where she failed badly ! to supplant her income ! hopped into her ! honda tin can that she worships and drove it 1300 miles to enlst in general robert isaac crisp's confedederate states of america, 2707 Omega road, Henrico, VA , where the garage was converted into a den ! There's only one minor problem with anyone that makes an " ass-u-me-ption " , They make an ass out of u and me ! ) Uncle Bob transfered to Elon Baptist Cemetary 2006, right next door to his cousin, Doris Jane Hartley Crisp ! you speak to me Traumatic Brain Injury 1/25/23 derailed my entire life , still trying to find me, clawing to get back only feels like failure, journaling sowed me my deficits , no one sees my real pain , I am not stuck I believe in recovery not what I used to be but the new me full of flaws is better than nothingness

Thank you very much indeed my dear friend ! In a few words my story. In 2011 I had an accident and TBI with a coma of 6 weeks. And when I woke up I had an hemiparesis of 8 weeks but with heavy consequences on my nervous system. Doing better today but, omg, your words brought me so many memories of those years. In your words I did find what is crucial in everybody life which is HOPE !

My surgeon has said that won't recover fully throughout my life and the maximum m memory that I will re attain will be 60 - 70%

Thats real talk right there. We have been suffering for 4+ years with a brain injury. We have recovered to about 85% of what we were prior. It took a very long time to get there.
